Plans, entitlements & access
A feature you cannot see may be a feature you are not entitled to, rather than one that does not exist. This page explains how access is scoped, so you can tell the difference.
Three layers of gating
Anything in the product can be unavailable for one of three unrelated reasons. Knowing which one you are looking at determines what you do about it.

1. Tenant configuration
Set per deployment. Determines which venues are activated, which broker adapters are enabled, which asset classes are reachable, and which AI models serve your chats.
The broker connect screen is built from this. It lists adapters enabled for your tenant, which is why the set you see may differ from another user's. Each adapter exists as a row that can be enabled by a reviewed change rather than invented on demand, so "not available to you" means "not enabled for your tenant", not "not built".

2. Plan entitlement
Set by your subscription. Typically covers how many strategies you can run, which asset classes you can
trade, whether the community section is available (marketplace_access), and which AI options you get.
A locked feature shows an upgrade prompt rather than a hard error.
What to do: Subscription & billing.
3. Platform gate
Global, and set by the platform rather than by anything about you. These are the ones this documentation names explicitly, because no upgrade or configuration change reaches them:

Upgrading your plan will not unlock live derivatives or forex. Those are off for reasons that have nothing to do with what you pay.
What is always available
Regardless of plan or tenant:
- Building strategies with the AI
- Backtesting on real historical data with the full cost model
- Paper trading, no broker connection required
- The nine execution risk gates, including the two that cannot be disabled
- This documentation

How entitlements are modelled
For the technically curious, and because it explains the behaviour:
Entitlements are versioned facts with non-overlapping validity periods, held in reference data and separated from the reference data that describes venue behaviour. The separation is deliberate: a listing capability fact ("this venue supports stop orders") is a property of the market, while an entitlement ("this tenant may trade this asset class") is a commercial grant. Conflating them would let a commercial decision look like a market fact.
Entitlement records also cannot name or override a row-level security policy, so a commercial grant can never widen data isolation.
Diagnosing "I cannot see X"

That fourth and last rows are worth distinguishing from the rest: a data-coverage limit is not an entitlement. No upgrade produces data that does not exist. See Asset Explorer.
Invited access
While the platform is in invited access, a valid invite code is required after sign-in. Codes are single-use, unlimited, or issued in batches. See Account & sign-in
