What Stretus is not

Who it’s for
Everyone. Read this before you allocate capital.

You have read What Stretus is

A scope statement is only useful if it excludes things. This page is the exclusions, stated plainly, with what the platform does instead.

Stretus is not an investment adviser

No part of the platform assesses whether a strategy, an instrument or a risk level is suitable for you. Nothing on Stretus takes your income, your obligations, your existing portfolio, your time horizon or your risk capacity into account, because the platform does not ask for any of them and could not use them if it had them.

Where the platform emits a label that sounds like suitability, it is a description of the strategy, computed from the backtest. The backtest assessment reports a risk profile match, a statement about what the strategy's own drawdown and trade frequency demand, not a statement about who should trade it. See Strategy grades.

Stretus is not a broker

Stretus places orders through your broker under credentials you connect. It is not a member of any exchange, it does not clear or settle trades, it does not maintain a client ledger of your holdings, and it has no ability to accept or return your funds. Your contractual relationship for execution, settlement and custody is with your broker.

Stretus is not a custodian

Your money and your securities are held by your broker or your exchange. Stretus stores credentials to place and monitor orders. It does not have withdrawal capability at any venue and you should never grant it, the connect flow asks for trading and balance-read scopes only. See Connect a broker.

Stretus is not a copy-trading or mirror-trading service

There is no mechanism by which one user's live fills produce orders in another user's account. Deploying a community-published strategy clones the rule set into your account as a fresh draft. From that moment the two strategies are unrelated: different capital, different broker, different positions, and the author's later edits do not propagate.

Stretus is not a signal service

The platform does not send you trade calls. Research screens report measured conditions and the AI builds strategies; neither issues an instruction to trade. Optional Telegram notifications report events on your own deployed strategies, a fill, a breach, a state change. They are not trade recommendations. See Notifications.

Stretus does not promise, project or estimate returns

There is no forward-looking return figure anywhere in the product or these docs. Where a monetary figure appears next to a capital amount, it is arithmetic on past results over a stated window, and it is labelled as such. If you see a figure described as projected, potential, expected or estimated, that is a defect, report it.

Stretus does not guarantee that a backtest predicts anything

A grade is a threshold score over a tested window. Grade A means the run cleared the return, Sharpe, drawdown, consistency and sample-size thresholds on that data. It is not a detection of edge, not a forecast, and not permission to deploy. See Reading results honestly.

Stretus does not prevent loss

The risk gates block orders that breach limits you configured. Seven of the nine are disabled until you set a value. None of them closes an existing position, none of them can act between candle closes on a gapping market, and none of them can recover capital already lost. See How risk is enforced.

Stretus does not vet the merit of a published strategy

Publishing is automated. A listing that appears has passed a set of mechanical checks (ownership, live status, days live, minimum live return, and, for non-crypto, the Research Analyst gate). No human assesses whether the strategy is sound. A Verified marker confirms identity and listing integrity; it is not an assessment of merit or suitability. See How listings are selected & ranked.

Stretus does not currently support retail OTC forex

FX OTC instruments and an OANDA adapter exist in the platform. The user-facing picker is disabled and no user can reach those instruments. This is deliberate: retail OTC forex on offshore venues raises questions under FEMA and RBI rules that are separate from equity or crypto, and it stays off pending a specific opinion.

Stretus does not currently execute live derivatives

Futures and options can be built and backtested, and can run in paper. Live derivative entry is refused by the platform: the live exit path is not implemented, and a capability that can open a position it cannot close must not be reachable, so entry is blocked rather than left available. See Derivatives.
