Community & strategy sharing
Users can publish strategies they built, and other users can deploy those strategies on their own account. This section covers both sides.
What this is, precisely
Deploying a published strategy clones its rule set into your account as a fresh strategy. From that moment the two are unrelated:
- You allocate your own capital.
- Orders route through your own broker connection.
- The author never sees your account, your capital, your trades or your P&L.
- The author's later changes do not reach your copy. Yours is a snapshot from the moment you deployed it.
There is no mirroring of anyone's live fills into your account, no signal relay from another person's positions, and no shared account. You are running a copy of a rule set, under your own risk controls, with your own money.
The vocabulary, and why it changed
Earlier documentation used "copy trading" and called publishers "advisors". Both were wrong and both created regulatory exposure. The terms used now:
| Used | Not used | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Strategy author, publisher | Advisor, adviser | A user who publishes holds no advisory registration |
| Deploy a published strategy | Copy-trade | Copy trading has no permitted form for unregistered intermediaries in India |
| Community-published strategy | Advisor's strategy | It is a rule set, published by a user |
| SEBI-registered Research Analyst | Registered Advisor | These are different registrations with different permitted activities |
| Health score | Recommended | The platform does not recommend securities strategies |
| Lowest drawdown | Low Risk Picks | "Picks" is the platform speaking in the first person |
Full reasoning: Regulatory position.
Who can publish what
| You are | You can publish |
|---|---|
| Any user | Crypto strategies |
| A verified SEBI-registered Research Analyst, or a platform administrator | Any strategy, including Indian equity |
This is the Research Analyst gate. Non-crypto strategies are run by other people with real money in a regulated securities market, so publishing them requires a registration verified against documents rather than claimed on a form. See Research Analyst programme.
The eligibility rules other than ownership are configurable, and on some environments a master bypass switch disables all of them. Ownership is the only check that can never be turned off.
If you are publishing an equity strategy, satisfy yourself independently that you hold the registration that permits it. See How listings are selected & ranked.
The listing set is filtered
The most important thing to understand before you browse.
Listings must clear a minimum live return to appear, 5% for native strategies, 10% for remote ones, by default.
Strategies that performed worse are not shown. The listing set is therefore a survivorship-filtered selection, and the visible aggregate looks better than the population of strategies actually built on Stretus. That is an unavoidable property of any quality filter; what matters is that you know the filter is there.
Full detail on how listings are selected, ranked and scored, including the health-score formula and its weights: How listings are selected & ranked.
Browsing
The community section opens on a ranked list of published strategies.
Search
Filters by strategy name, author, asset or keyword. Press / to jump to it.
Filters
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| Asset class | All, Crypto, Stocks |
| Risk tier | All, Low, Moderate, High |
| Strategy type | All, Momentum, Swing, Day Trading, Arbitrage |
| Timeframe | All, Intraday, Swing, Long-term |
| Minimum capital | All, Under ₹50K, ₹50K-100K, Over ₹100K |
Reset All clears them. A Verified toggle restricts results to platform-featured listings, which confirms identity and listing integrity, not merit.
Sorting
- ROI period (last 30 days, last 90 days (default), all time
- Sort by) health score, top ROI, most deployed, recently updated
Views
Card and table views. A leaderboard rail surfaces top listings by past performance over the selected window. See Leaderboard. Results paginate 10 at a time.
Reading a listing
On a card
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Return | Past return over the selected window |
| Risk tier | Low / Medium / High, derived from live drawdown |
| Max drawdown | Worst peak-to-trough decline |
| Rating | Average subscriber rating, sentiment, not performance |
| Deployments | How many users have deployed it |
| Health score | 0-100 composite. Formula published here |
| Sparkline | A performance trace |
| Badge | The highest-priority earned badge. What each measures |
Earlier docs listed a Live/Paper pill, a Sharpe figure and a peak-exposure figure on the card. The card does not render any of those. What it shows is the list above.
The absence of a Live/Paper indicator matters, see paper-sourced metrics.
On the detail page
| Section | Contents |
|---|---|
| Overview | Name, asset and venue, author, rating, deployment count, health gauge, performance chart |
| Performance | ROI, P&L, CAGR, win rate, profit factor, volatility, trade frequency and more |
| Risk | The strategy's risk controls and a drawdown analysis |
| Execution | The order lifecycle for this strategy |
| Subscribers | Who has deployed it, allocation, P&L %, duration |
| Reviews | Ratings and comments |
| Trades | Recent realised fills with side, quantity, fill price and P&L |
Open the detail page before allocating capital. A card is a summary; the risk section and the trades list are where the strategy's actual behaviour is visible.
Deploying a published strategy
Covered in full on Deploying a published strategy. The shape:
- Capital, how much to allocate. A minimum applies
- Risk acknowledgement, required, and worth actually reading
- Confirm, the summary
- Mode, paper or live
- Allocate & review (live only), broker capital and the trading acknowledgements
- Deploy
It is someone else's rule set running on your money. Paper it first.
Publishing
Covered in full on Publishing your strategy, with the obligations that attach on Publisher rules.
The decision to understand before you start is Open Strategy, whether to disclose your strategy logic. It is a licence decision, not a display setting, and it cannot be undone for copies already made.
Your capital, your custody
Stretus does not pool capital. Deploying a published strategy moves no money to the author or to Stretus. The strategy places orders from your own connected broker account against your own allocated capital. Funds never leave your account. See Data, custody & security.
