The Trading Map is the whole-market view of the same detector output that Opportunity Radar presents as a list. Same scores, same evidence, different question: not "what is the best setup" but "what is everything doing".


What is this?

A map of technical setups detected across the scanned universe from current market data, ranked by Setup Quality, with the score breakdown and evidence available per instrument.

This screen carries the platform's clearest in-product framing, and it is worth quoting because it is exactly right:

Setup Quality measures how strongly the current chart matches the scanner's predefined technical conditions. It is not a forecast of future returns.

Setup Grade is a band derived from Setup Quality. It is not statistical confidence or a probability of profit.

Rank is based on Setup Quality among the setups currently included in this scan.

Why does it exist?

A ranked list answers "show me the strongest". It cannot answer "is this a broad move or three instruments". The map does, and that changes how you read any individual entry, a STRONG breakout when forty instruments show breakouts means something different from a lone one.

The third quote above matters more than it looks: rank is relative to what is currently in the scan. Change the filters and the ranks change. A top rank is not a superlative about the market.

How does it work?

Identical to Radar's pipeline, universe, bars, three detectors, five scoring components, penalties, band, publication floor of 50, snapshot. See Radar's pipeline. Nothing is computed differently; only the presentation differs.

The verification pack

The Trading Map exposes something none of the other screens do: a verification pack you can open on any selected setup. It contains, for that instrument:

Use it. A scanner whose arithmetic you can reproduce is a fundamentally different object from one you have to trust, and this is the only screen that hands you the working.

How do you use it?

  1. Select a market.
  2. Read the distribution, how many setups, in which bands, of which types.
  3. Select an instrument for its score breakdown and evidence.
  4. Open the verification pack if a number surprises you.
  5. Hand off to the chart, the builder, or the watchlist.

The map polls for a fresh snapshot about once a minute.

What to take from it: thirty-eight published setups with only four in the top band, and breakouts outnumbering the other two detectors two to one. That is a market where a breakout reading is common, which makes a single strong breakout less distinctive than it would look on its own in a list.


Limitations

Rank is scan-relative. A top rank means first among what is currently included, not first in the market. Changing filters changes ranks.

The publication floor hides the tail. Nothing below 50 appears, so the distribution you see is the top of a distribution you cannot see.

Snapshot, not live. See Radar's limitations.

Breadth is not confirmation. Forty instruments showing the same setup can mean a genuine broad move or one correlated basket. The map shows the count; it does not decompose the correlation.
